Piner Middle School has approximately 981 students attending grades 7th – 8th. This Middle School has a total of 69 teachers with a Student Ratio 1:14. Four Hundred and eighty one students attend the 7th grade; Five Hundred students attend the 8th grade. Piner Middle School has the following ethnic background: American Indian 1%, Asian 1%, Hispanic 17%, Black 16%, and White 64%.

Van Alstyne High School offers 9th – 12th grades. Approximately 30 teachers teach the schools curriculum to 423 students. One hundred and twenty nine students attend the 9th grade; Ninety eight students attend the 10th grade; One hundred and one students attend the 11th grade; Ninety Five students attend the 12th grade. Batesville High School has a Teacher Student Ratio of 1:14 and has the following ethnic background: Hispanic 6%, Black 2% , and White 91%.

Terrell Elementary School holds classrooms from PK- 5th grade and has a total of 460 students. Forty four students attend Kindergarten; Sixty four students attend the 1st grade; Eighty eight students attend the 2nd grade; Sixty students attend the 3 rd grade;
Sixty four students attend the 4th grade; Sixty eight students attend the 5th grade. This Elementary School has approximately 29 teachers with a Student Ratio of 1:16. Terrell Elementary School has the following ethnic background: American Indian 2%, Hispanic 17%, Black 24%, and White 56%.
