Immunization shots are divided in three categories; Standard,
Other, and Foreign Travel. Standard immunizations consist of diphtheria, tetanus,
pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, polio, Hib, influenza (flu), pneumonia,
varicella (chicken pox), gamma globulin for hepatitis exposure, hepatitis "A"
& "B." Foreign Travel Immunizations includes yellow fever, meningococcal,
typhoid. Rabies immunizations are available as well.
The Pregnancy test and counseling unit does not require parents
consent in the offering of their services to minors and all results are confidential.
The Grayson Health Department offers diagnosis and treatment for sexually transmitted
diseases, and lab test for A.I.D.S.
Special Clinic includes the Wic Supplemental food program.
This program provides qualified residents food cards and provides training in
good nutrition and consumer education. The Family planning clinic provides physical
assessments for birth control methods, counseling, exam and dispensing of birth
control supplies. The Maternity clinic offers prenatal care, nutrition, parenting
education, post partum care, social services and counseling. The Cervical and
Breast Cancer Clinic perform Pap test, breast exams, and hospital mammograms.
