Grayson
County College has four campuses conveniently located in the
cities of Denison, Van Alstyne, and Bonham. Grayson County offers Associate of
Science, Associate of Arts in Teaching, and Associate of Applied Science. Certificates
of Completion are also available. Special services are available to students who
are single parents, educationally disadvantaged, disabled, enrolled in non-traditional
programs or have limited English proficiently. Qualified students are offered
the following services: tutoring, note taking, sign-language interpreting, special
testing conditions, taped textbooks, scribes, special/modified equipment, mobility
assistance, and other services as needed.
More than $100,000-$150,000 dollars are awarded in scholarships
by the Grayson County College Foundation. Students interested in economical
housing might consider the residence halls at Grayson College. Each residence
hall has a common lounge area for entertaining guests, as well as private lounge/television
rooms on each floor. Telephone outlets, television cable services, and wireless
Internet access are available. Each hall has a centrally located laundry facility.
All residence halls have live-in supervisors and other staff.
Associated of Art and Science degrees are awarded in the following
programs: Accounting, Business and Management, CCCJET Website, Collision Repair
Technology, Computer Maintenance and Networking Technology, Computer Software
& Systems Technician, Chemistry, Computer Science/Computer Information Systems,
Criminal Justice, Drafting/Computer Aided Drafting, Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counseling,
Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology, LVN to RN, Medical
Laboratory Technology, Microcomputer Applications, Nursing, Registered, Office
and Computer Technology, Pre-Health Science, Psychology, Paramedicine, Radiologic
Technology,Viticulture and Enology, and Welding. Grayson County College is accredited
by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
